Republican legislators want to keep popular Obamacare provisions for themselves and their staff.
House Republicans appear to have included a provision that exempts Members of Congress and their staff from their latest health care plan.
Republicans exempt their own insurance from their latest health care proposal

And as always...the American people will sit on their butts and allow them to get away with this!

If you honestly believe either "side" is going to live under the same rules as us peasants than you need some meds yourself.

When it all comes right down to it, this is why I'm an independent. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time that congress gives itself special perks.. it's like a police officer that thinks they can speed off duty and get away with it... because they can.. job privilege combined with being part of the good ole boys club and having power. Go into any corporation and the popular ones will have favoritism and get perks the peons do not. Inept middle management everywhere... It's human nature. Live with it. Another example.. good looking, young women knowing the power they have in society when it comes to their bodies and sex, and using it for all it's worth.. if a person has power, they will use that power. More human nature. Animal biology.

It's why people should try to judge based on individual merits and not lump everyone into a single stereotype. It's why congress has such a low approval rating and yet nothing changes because people elect the same baffoons and then continue to give them low ratings. :\

They never were forced to take Obamacare. Neither party wanted anything to do with it.

Why term limits are essential.

Career politicians serve themselves.

It's the politicians' creed on both sides of the aisle: I got mine, everyone else is on their own!
