We have a GOP led house, senate and presidency yet the allotment (volume) of H1B visas has not been reduced. And it won't be. Watch and see. Many Republicans wanted to increase then alloted slots.
I agree unfortunately the republican establisment has become as corrupt as the democrats.
It's interesting how some people ignore facts in favor of outrage. Here's an article on the subject from Trump's Alma Mater, the Wharton School of Business. Immigration has no effect on wages. Apparently there is no effect on employment rates either, since we are at full employment. I get the impression they are outraged that nobody powders their asses for being being born in this country.

I understand reading comprehension is an acquired skill for some...but if you note -- the poster suggested that companies don't hire illegals -- he didn't say that they weren't.
The point being made is that businesses and individuals need to stop hiring them and then they can't get jobs and will go home.

You can't convince many conservatives of this. They think there are millions of people in every community driving wages down.
It may in a few states - but there are a whole bunch of states with little illegal immigration and some states have e-verify and it is very difficult to get illegals to work.
But you can't convince them with rational, logical discussions. You have to engage them with the rant and rage and emotional plea of patriotism and USA USA USA. That's all they here.

Yes I understand that...However, when you a have party that helps and encourages business to hire illegals. Thats not going to stop the border problem...

Did you know that illegal immigration has been on the decline since well before Trump came into office?
Also, to the extent that illegals are crossing the border and getting hired, it's because business owners in fields like construction and agriculture - who are hardly likely to be liberals - are hiring them. So why don't you go after them?
Also, those corporations exporting the jobs overseas... they are capitalist enterprises. How do you stop them? You write laws that restrict where and how they can do business. Didn't know you were a socialist, did you?
Im a conservative business owner and don't have any illegals working for me. Any ways keep posting the tin foil hat comments
