Quinnipiac is one of the best polls.

Quote:
In a new Quinnipiac University Poll, 33% named Obama the worst president since World War II, and 28% put Bush at the bottom of post-war presidents.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

your obsession with Obama is unreasonable (considering how many threads you have on him). He is gone; Trump is your president now. So try to focus on something useful at least occasionally

Interesting results. I wonder how the results correlate with party affiliation.

The flip side is that Obama was 4th in "best president" voting.

Hard to take that too seriously, considering what experts and historians have said.

And Obama's LOWEST popularity (YEARS ago) is still higher than Trumps HIGHEST popularity.

Aside from that, Obama's popularity surged as Trump ran for office (and folks had a chance to compare the 2) and he ended up with a pretty decent approval rating - roughly 20 points higher than Trump's current rating. Not a lot to complain about there.

Nice try though. After all it's not your fault your presidential idol is a malignant little turd. it's IS your fault you voted for him though.

I will only observe that 'popularity' is a dangerous measure to use for such judgements. After all, President Lincoln was 'unpopular' with fully half the country at one point.

I agree with the sentiment that a particular President's effectiveness in office is best viewed through the prism of time. Only after a passage of time may intelligent people say "This man was a poor, or excellent, President".

Many now view Mr. Trump as a 'poor' President. I am in that group. However, several decades from now? Only time will tell.

I will add that 'time' usually adds to a President's 'popularity'. President Carter was not a popular President when he lost his bid for re-election. Yet, with years and his subsequent good works, the now 90-year old Carter has seen his popularity rise. Yet, that does not mean that historians will view him as a particularly effective President.

Finally, I will note that I follow Mr. Trump and Mr. Obama on Twitter. I found it interesting the other day when Mr. Trump's tweet about some subject (I think Mother's Day) got some 75,000 'likes', where Mr. Obama's observation on the same subject got 450,000 'likes'. It was a rather striking imbalance.

Ha ha--great poll. Gerald Ford and George H Bush rated up there with the best. They did nothing and were one-termers.

And BTW, did anyone notice the date of this poll? July 2014? Lol. Let's see a more recent poll. Obama's rating soared last year. Bet they're even higher now that he can be compared to the Commander-in-Crazy.

He's by far the worst in my lifetime. I still can't believe people voted for him over Romney. The first time I can somewhat understand.

Those idiots who gave Obama a second term also guaranteed a Trump win.
