Ok what they did was wrong but the prison sentences were way too harsh in my opinion. I don't think they intended to kill anyone and there is always this bias against the rebel flag. A lot of Southerners also feel their culture besieged with the culture of political correctness coming from the government, Hollywood and the liberal mainstream media.
I think for what happened maybe a year in prison would be appropriate plus probation and community service.
Think about the fact that a lot of the ghetto protesters in Baltimore who were convicted of actual violent acts including arson and aggravated assault against police got shorter sentences than these two.
The incident happened in July of 2015, sixteen months before Trump's election, and long before his campaign became prominent. The outcome of the election is not cited as a factor anywhere in the linked story.
Stop simplifying and stereotyping and GROW UP! I expected somewhat less-juvenile behavior from a long-time regular, but usually-logical adversary, but apparently the infantilism over there in LeftyLand is contagious.

Sorry, lets not use false equivalency comparisons. Wrong is wrong.
But....ouch. yeah the sentence seems way too excessive. Makes me wonder whats not being said in the article.
From the article: "The convoy of trucks pulled up the birthday party for an eight-year-old child and the people started yelling racial slurs and threatened to kill people at the party, WSB reported. According to prosecutors, Torres pointed a shotgun at the party."
If that means they were pointing a shotgun at a group of 8 year-olds and threatening to kill them, I'm ok with the sentence.
Alright. Justice served! Laughing my ass off at those two ignorant hillbilly trailer trash.
Yo... Kayla and Jose.... be sure and say hello to the brothers and sisters in the pen, OK? Y'all gonna be re-e-e-e-e-al popular with them.
Those two got 20 and 15 year prison sentences for yelling slurs out the window of their truck. How many should you get for posting them on the internet?
A twenty-year sentence for being an mean drunken redneck? Seems a bit harsh considering that nobody was hurt.
yes I agree. They deserve to be punished but not to that extent. And what do they mean by gang terrorism? That sounds like something directed toward actually criminal organizations like the illegal immigrants gangs who terrorize many American cities, like MS-13, Barrio 18, the Mexican Mafia, Latin Kings, etc.
I would say the rioters in Ferguson and Baltimore were better examples of gang terrorism. This is just some people getting drunk and acting stupid and we should let them learn from their mistakes. I highly doubt they are hardcore violent criminals.
