Rachel Maddow did an interesting show about some of the attorneys involved with the investigation. Dana Boente (R) is running the Eastern District of Virginia and is also running the National Security Division in Washington Dc. He is 4th in line in the Justice Department. He is also one of the people Comey confided in when he alleged that Trump had asked him to go public and say that there was no collusion. He allegedly advised Comey not to do it.
The Eastern District has also assembled a grand jury working on the Flynn case with a veteran espionage attorney Brandon Van Grek. Mueller also hired a cyber security expert and Mueller's former chief of staff of the FBI Aaron Zebley.
Lisa Page, a trial attorney with deep experience in money laundering has been working on an ongoing money laundering case involving a Ukrainian oligarch Dimitry Firtash. They have been unsuccessful in extraditing him. He was also a one time business partner of Paul Manafort.
An interesting tid bit. Pence hired Richard Cullen who also served as an attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. I guess the Eastern District has the best of the best? I swear this is better than any spy novel.
Trump complained about "political correctness" on the campaign trail.
Now he's going to learn the hard way why people in public life are so careful.
The Whitewater investigation started with a real estate deal in Arkansas and ended with Bill Clinton being impeached for something totally unrelated, Monica Lewinsky.
As is tradition, the investigators will crawl through every aspect of the president's life with a magnifying glass. Doubtful Trump and some of his associates will survive that kind of scrutiny.
Put on some coffee boys we gotta work overtime to pay taxes for this political charade.
And hiring more. And get this-compared to the watergate team, its still very small. All told the watergate investigation was initiated with a expectation of employing 90 people. Source: http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-s...rosecution.pdf

It looks like in the end they employed 38 full time attorneys, 2 consultants, and various other people (page 19).
So it looks like its still pretty small by comparison.
Could have been avoided if 70K people in 3 states had figured out he was a crook and con man. The people who live or lived in NY Metro area warned you he was a crook. Too bad people would not listen.
Not true, the borough of Staten Island went for Trump by 10+ points. Manhattan went for Hillary because she sold out to Wall Street. The other boroughs went for Hillary because most of those residents are either union members, on welfare or illegals so they knew Crooked "H" would take care of them and have their backs.
How big were the teams who investigated Bill Clinton, and Nixon? Is this a normal sized team for this, or much larger?
That is a good question. I could not find out anything about Watergate, save that Leon Jarwoski hired a 'staff', but no mention of how many.
I don't recall the Clinton Affair involving many people. I doubt it was more than a few. Once he testified, and was caught in some lies, that sealed the deal for the Republican-majority House (although some R's broke ranks on some of the charges).
