With the exception of rolling back some regulations and putting a respected conservative jurist on the Supreme Court, President Trump has had a disastrous first five months. Job increases have slowed, his health-care bill is widely disliked and tax reform seems impossible in the short run. His pullout from the Paris climate agreement has been panned domestically and internationally, and his administration is beset by scandal. Two of his most important executive orders (on so-called sanctuary cities and the travel ban) have been stopped in the courts, others (a directive to build the wall) are meaningless and still others are hopelessly vague. Lacking scores of political appointees, he has little ability to see that his policy initiatives are implemented.

Basically a lot of failures, little achievements, and no sign of improvement.

Welcome to the decline of America.

LOL!

First line of that article. OPINION

We already know what WaPo thinks of Trump. They ceased being an unbiased source of journalism long ago.

Yes, the premise of the article is an opinion.

I am impressed. Finally you managed to say something that is not a lie.

Well, let's not exaggerate here, it was in free fall only a few weeks into his administration.

Careful there beb0p; Wally has no compunctions about playing the "personal attack" card.

Constantly.

5 months in, and they have failed to even get most of their positions filled. Competent people do not want to get onboard the Titanic. So far, he has 1 accomplishment. He managed to get a supreme court judge position filled.

Oh and he managed to get a "mean" healthcare bill through the house. Something that is unpopular even with Republicans.

Yet his devoted cult#45 followers insist that he's done more in 5 months than Obummer did in 8 years. I've seen this assertion several times, posted by dear leader's sycophants on Facebook. But, strangely, when asked what, exactly he's accomplished, the conversation comes to an abrupt end.

It has been a disaster for the US longer term. In just a few months we may have permanently lost our leadership position.

Backing out of the paris agreement is like letting someone who does not really like you order your dinner.

We will have to eat whatever the world comes up with and we will no longer be able to drive and direct it like we had planned.

Well done Trumpers, turned out yet again you guys never see the big picture, you get too swollen with hate and anger and have deprived the USA from driving global policy through the paris agreement. so dense, so short term, and the thing is many Trumpers are dumb enough to still feel proud that they just weakened our nation, because they did not learn how it would work and instead just listened to the ill informed trump.
