What about the homeless living in the tunnels under glamorous Las Vegas? First constructed as storm drain tunnels, to combat the flooding from flash floods, 600 miles of flood channels, now these tunnels are home to 100's of people. (400-500 estimated)
A grim, murky void filled with scorpions, health risks, and addiction. The cramped tunnels were claustrophobic and covered with child-like graffiti.
....what about them? Homelessness is not going to be glamorous or happy. I would think that perhaps the gambling nature of the city may have contributed to the homeless state for at least some of them.
Of course all cities are heavily Democratic, that is where the poor live that YOU created and want to ignore! Of course I'm talking about a real city, not some two bit, 2nd ring suburb that wants to be.
Really? You Trumpsters need to go back and worry about your man-child's connections with the Russians. Let's see how great the Republicans do on cutting your benefits...
If I was homeless I would want to live in a city that took better care of me.
Actually, San Diego has had a Homeless dumping problem for a while. Apparently Las Vegas was found to ship their destitute to San Diego.

Minnesota is filled with people from less caring states. I worked on a Crisis Response Team there for several years. People from Milwaukee would get off the bus clutching our phone number and tell us that that their case worker had arranged the bus ticket and given them our number.
North Dakota and South Dakota place children who need residential treatment in Minnesota. When they are 18, they are discouraged from returning, told there are few support services in their original communities. Many end up homeless. In Minnesota.
Of course, people gravitate to places where they can get some help. Many are directed there.

Actually, very few were living in the tunnels due to gambling. Some were PTSD vets, folks who lost their jobs and some had addiction problems. Homelessness exists in almost every city. What can be done to help them and offer them programs to have a better life?
But how can this be? I thought democrats were all about lifting poor people out of poverty.[/url]
People displaced by poor Republican policy in rural areas are moving to the promised land.
Said with tongue in cheek, but it's true, it's a global trend that people are moving to megalopolis. That these are typically more progressive in their leadership should be telling.
How many large cities are not Democratic? So it is a product of the fact urban centers lean left or is it a product of the fact that homeless will flock to the major cities where they have a better chance to just exist.
So the stats may be skewed but you have to look at other factors.
Reading comprehension skills don't just cover reading words and interpreting their meaning and so is the ability to read a statistical analysis and understand all the factors that may influence the results.
I should have known that liberals would just blame their homeless problems on republicans. Nothing is ever their fault.
Why are you taking pleasure in the fact that there are homeless people in the first place? It doesn't matter who controls the city, the homeless problem should be addressed. This is why identity politics is BS, everything is just a blame game.
Also, since Democrats tend to support offering more social services, wouldn't it follow that those who require the services would go to a place that provides it?
And name a major city that isn't a majority liberal.
