I don't doubt that Ivanka runs a successful business.

The question is, does she try to stay out of politics? Frankly, I don't see how she can say that with a straight face.

Perhaps she shouldn't have been made or taken the title of adviser to the POTUS then, one would think there would be some politics involved in that.

If I wanted to stay out of rocket science, I wouldn't take a job in the labs at JPL.

Exactly. She is not trying to stay out of politics. OTOH, it seems she isn't influencing Trump's decisions much at all. Despite Ivanka's levelheaded presence, he still acts like an idiot.
