Sarah Palin is suing the Mexican owned blog called the NY Times for accusing her of inciting the shooting of Gabby Giffords.
Mrs. Palin brings this action to hold The Times accountable for defaming her by publishing a statement about her that it knew to be false: that Mrs. Palin was responsible for inciting a mass shooting at a political event in January 2011.
She has hired the same legal team that Hulk Hogan successfully used against Gawker.

First CNN caught for lying about Russia, now the NY Times gets sued. They're dropping like flies.

Gee, considering the first line is simply not true, is there any reason to read further?

She must be hard up for cash. Someone's gotta pay for those illegitimate grandkids and public brawls!

Awww, the half-term quitter needs some publicity. Either that or she's run through all her grifted money and needs more cash. The rubes must have stopped contributing to her personal slush fund (aka, SarahPAC). Hard to figure out why else she would wait over five years to bring this suit.

I get so confused.

Here is the CNN report on this:

Sarah Palin sues New York Times - Jun. 27, 2017

However, the OP continually says that everything CNN reports is 'fake news'.

So, is this fake news? Or is CNN correct?

By the by, here is the original story run by the NYT:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/14/o...-virginia.html

I doubt that she can prove malice. But who knows?

Only asking for $75,000. She is cheap. Very cheap. I guess she estimates her own reputation as not being worth that much.

The articles make it unclear what type of suit it is. If it is libel, then one issue is: What is Ms. Palin's reputation?

Those with no, little or a poor reputation generally do not do well in such suits, for even if the libel is found to be true, the jury may decide that it made no difference to the person's reputation in the community, and will award $1.00.

She's standing up for her rights against fake news.

Would you say that merely being the defendant in a lawsuit is inherently a bad thing? Or should we wait to see what the ruling is?

CNN says it creates fake news for ratings. It's not about Waldokitty. But I get why you constantly try that sort of argument.

Now Sarah Palin sues the NY Times for same thing.

Did Sarah spend all of her reality show income already?
