Eventually machines and AI will produce all human wants and needs. There will be no more "jobs" for humans to do. At that time, us humans can finally focus on enlightenment. Think Star Trek. There will no longer be a need to make a "profit".
And no matter what, at some point in the next few generations, there will no longer be whites, blacks, Asians or anything in between. We will all be a mix and will be a beautiful race.

Let me tell you a little secret: life is what happens to you when you are making other plans.
If we continue to be able to travel anywhere in the world and we continue to break down the social barriers between races having sex and partnering with people of different races. Its inevitable.
To me, it is neither good nor bad. I am sure different people have different opinions about this.
Majority of my nephews have blonde hair (green/blue eyes). They all look 100% white, but they still have some Japanese blood in them.
So it all depends. Most of my friends (guys or girls) marry their own races, (or people look like their own races) They are not racists, this is just the way they are.
The bottom line is that if we think mixed children and marriage would eliminate racism, we are too optimistic about things. Haters are going to hate, no matter how you look like.
Just look at the definition of "white". They will accept white/American indian mix to be white, they will never accept white/black mix to be white. why is that?
I remember my best friend (a Southern white guy) once said, even if this world is full of white people, they (we) would still find something to hate. (maybe we'd argue about eye and hair color)

I thought this would all have happened long ago but like Huw, we are seeing that resistance is not futile and has extended for thousands of years. Socialism will always fall prey to capitalism.
Everyone will be a mix of everything else within a hundred years or so. Sorry, but your daughter's kid's kid will be brown.
Get your DNA tested --- Americans are a wild mix already. There is no such thing as racial or ethnic purity in our ancestry. The amount of skin pigmentation means nothing.

Not everyone's kids will be brown but there will be a hell of a lot of brown kids, potentially enough to derail any sort of global high tech future, be that utopian or dystopian. The U.N. forecasts 4 billion Africans by 2100, and that assumes fertility rates there will plunge from now and fall to near European levels by the end of the century. At constant fertility rates there would be 15 billion Africans on the planet 80 years from now.
Overpopulation and the consumption of the worlds natural resources will be the biggest issue in the future.

Humans need struggle, danger, challenges, hard times, problems, setbacks. In the absence of real manifestations of these things, humans *invent* mock versions of them.
Humans need to feel their choices matter. Free agency. Self-determination. Aspirations. Achievable success.
A whole planet full of humans whose existence is entirely inconsequential and who have never had to work for a thing is not a utopia. It's not going to end well. It's a way to turn humans into subservient, illiterate, spineless pets who worship the automation gods.
