With a strong GOP majority, the state legislature has banned all cities and municipalities from setting their own minimum wage and St Louis will now have to go back to the state minimum wage after raising it. The people who got a raise and are now earning $10 an hour in St Louis will have to taste the smell of freedom again as people get pushed back to $7.70.
Yes, its just blatantly clear that people who believe the GOP want local minimum wages so they can set their own levels are just pulling the wool over people's eyes. At least you are honest that it is just a talking point not meant to be taken seriously. The real goal is to ban minimum wages completely as you say.

Americans should be paid 3rd World wages. How's $3/day sound? American workers aren't really worth more than that, right? And companies will save so much, they'll hire so many more! That's worth a whole loaf of bread. What more could workers need? This is the kind of forward-thinking policy that will MAGA!
