Happy 4th and let's hope we can have a safe celebration. The amount of professionals that have to work to keep us all safe is unprecedented.

I wish we could go back in time to pre-9/11 days... but that is wishful thinking.

Don't worry, tons of idiots will shoot people firing guns into the air throughout the country.

Heck, LA even has PSA's against it.

Mexico City has a major problem with it around holidays.

Irregardless, alcohol is going to kill most people over the holiday via OD, drowing and car accidents etc.

SO true, sad but true that there will be many people who drink themselves stupid and die as a result.

This is far more likely than any terrorist attack but still given the day, our independence day it is ripe for some idiot terrorist to make his point.

Have Fun, Enjoy Family but be vigilant. this is the world we live in now.

Yeah because most of our shootings in the USA are from terrorists -- so yeah fear the terrorists -- not the co-worker, spouse, neighbor with a gun.

We always used to go down to the monument to see the fireworks. You could stay all day listening to the music. No one cared if you brought food, beer, wine....whatever. Now there are so many lines for check points to enter the grounds. No alcohol is allowed. They check everything in what you carry. I'm sorry but that's not freedom and independence for us. It feels like a controlled society. I don't like living in such a scared society.
