I don't deny there are gender/racial gaps in earnings, especially in Hollywood. That said, how much of that is "because you are not a member of this race/gender, you will be making this much" (Quota A) vs. "It's skills, qualifications, experience, and life choices that effect the earnings gap" (Quote B)? Yes, both quotes have levels of validity. I believe Quote A applies more a person who might eventually outright admit to saying along the lines of that quote. Quote B is perhaps both more common/practical but many people might overlook that because it doesn't fit their "this is race/sexist" agenda(s).
Another thing is just how much should a man be paid so that woman are paid the same amount? Also, there are celebrities who might make more on a project than most people in this world make in a lifetime. So, the gender-gap earnings complaint can seem like a moot point at times. Now, if a person of the working or lower class that has gained fame somehow, I suppose their complaints on the earnings gaps might carry more weight. This is because while they have gained fame, their income might not be much greater than the groups that they are trying or claim to represent.
first off, it is her fault for not negotiating better
also rich actors can do such a thing. If you'r expecting the average every day man to take a pay cut because a woman can't negotiate well, you're mistaken
So her pay should be based on her negotiating skill. Sounds like buying a car. The ones who negotiate best get the best deals.
Has nothing to do with her talent, popularity or how many people will pay green folding dollars the box office because she is in it.
Why in the world should we? Men are the real gender under assault in the West today.
We do sh--ier jobs
Have higher addiction rates
Less of us have health care
Women have higher life expectancy
Women get more rights in divorce
I could go on and on...and I will, if it irks the Fake News-pushing leftists off.
In general, I think society HATES men, or at least that's the way it seems today.
