At some point, Trump had to choose which party to run in. He chose to run as an R. For the very practical reason that Ds would never like him enough to nominate him.
I'm not assuming that at all but that's the topic of this thread. No one could have beaten Hillary because the DNC had already decided she was going to be the nominee. If voting didn't go her way, she already had all the super delegates given to her.
Hardly came up empty. Americans got to see her for the self promoting games she played at the expense sometimes of American lives. Americans and the world got to see the fact that she couldn't tell the truth about anything if her life depended on it. I guess that alone was enough. The rest is history.

Does it matter what I have? Trump won the election. Anything else is just wishful thinking on the Dems part. You can argue all of it till you're blue in the face and it doesn't matter anymore.
