I bet he is saying it right now and gets the reply : Nothing, same old Russian crap. 24/7

Most people have tuned it out. All but the alt-left base.

So this perfectly innocent, "rookie mistake" meeting also included a Russian Counter Intelligence Officer.

Wonder why Trump Jr. forgot to mention that?

Trump admitted he knew about the meeting at the Presser on AF1 yesterday.

So Dopey Jr is going to lie about this meeting every step of the way.

So for Trumpters, last year Dopey Jr. lied a month after this meeting when he said it was disgusting that it was reported that the Trump campaign was meeting with Russians and that Mook would say anything to win. (Pot meet weasel, err, kettle). And he maintains they never meet with anyone from Russia all along.

Flash forward to this past Saturday when the NY Times prints a story where "sources say" Dopey Jr., Manafort and Kushner met with a Russian lawyer about getting damaging information on Clinton that was gathered and to be provided by the Russian government. (Note - "sources" were correct as in most cases with this issue).

Dopey Jr. releases a statement that the meeting was brief and focused mostly on the issue of adoption.

Sunday Dopey Jr. said that the Russian lawyer offered him information on Mrs. Clinton but that her statements “made no sense” and the information was not “meaningful.”

Tuesday Dopey Jr. released his email chain of his communications with Manafort and Kushner only after the Times calls him to tell him that they have the emails between him and the person setting it up the meeting that also show that Dopey Jr. forwarded the emails to Manafort and Kushner and that if the information is dirt on illegal dealings Clinton had with Russia, he'd love it, especially if released at the end of the summer.

Now, more drip comes that there were other people in the room other than those admitted to by Dopey Jr.

Yes, the Trump base may not be concerned, just as the Nixon base was not concerned about Watergate until about July 1974.

Oh, but the law is concerned. They continue to work in the background and people who are discovered to have broken the law will have to pay. Maybe then Trumptsers will open their eyes. I doubt it. They are being played like a fiddle and even when you tell them this and provide evidence, the either still don't believe it or don't care.

And for the don't care, I have this question: How is Trump different from any other politician? Clinton has things in her background, but her's are real and Trump's are not? Or it's OK if Trump and/or his team broke the law because it's not Clinton? And Clinton has been investigated and found not to have broken any laws.

Well, just because the guy is former Soviet intel, that's not suspicious AT ALL.

I'm beginning to think this is not much of a place for rational discussion, where we may exchange ideas and opinions, and maybe learn from one another. I think it's mostly a place for drive by-shootings of insults at each other. This post quickly became that. Even if it isn't meant that way, even if the right emoticons are used. It's disappointing, because every once in a while there's thoughtful posts that people may find enlightening, even if it doesn't change an opinion. In other words, civil conversation, like what happens among good friends.

I'm not sure what Trump would have to do for his cult followers to start pulling away from him. I'm kinda convinced he could murder their families and they'd still praise him.

No, the one thing is when that senate health bill take all the coverage away from these low end poor and stupid cult followers, then they'll start to wake up.
