If the Deep State was real and so powerful, wouldn't it have been easier for them to just get Hillary elected last election, then having to collude with the media to hamper the Trump presidency?
Whereas I'm not a big Trump defender, I do find major amusement in how he sets people up, they chomp the bait and then he takes them out. Absolutely hilarious and better than any TV show.

He baited them all, and in the case of the media outlets -- had people provide them "scoop" info that they then claimed were from "deep anonymous sources" -- only to pull the rug out when they published inaccurate stories that they were forced to retract and apologize for. Proving what fake news they were willing to publish. Perfect!!!

You are misjudging lack of self control and claiming it's a strategy for success, you give Trump too much credit that this is some sort of master plan. He drowns out his own message with these side shows by constantly shoot himself in the foot, it's hurting his administration and the country but feel free to continue thinking that this is working.

Who is misjudging ?
Its very clear when the same tactic is used over and over it becomes a brilliant strategy when it keeps working. Trump took out all opponents in the same way to get the nomination and is using the same strategy on media and other critics. He is the master at what he does with that strategy. He has his weaknesses but that isn't one of them.
