There were NINE Republicans who defeated the bill in the Senate last night. That's a huge hurdle to overcome. HHS Secretary Price is begging the Senate GOP to try to find "the lowest common denominator" to get to 50 votes, and that what's actually in the bill doesn't matter. Just pass something. Anything.

Health secretary urges Senate to find 'lowest common denominator' on ObamaCare repeal bill | TheHill

There's your Republican healthcare plan. Don't talk about preexisting conditions or lifetime caps or the millions of people who will be thrown out in the cold. None of that matters. Just pass anything to get the ball rolling on dismantling healthcare in this country.

Of course, then they have to face the House and reconcile the bill. You can bet the FreeDUM Caucus will have something to say about it if it isn't draconian enough, which it won't be if it manages to get through the Senate.

This is going nowhere.

This Republican Congress is barely functioning.

Yes it has faults -- fix them if you are so smart. That's it -- they aren't smart enough.

Why should the right fix them dems, problems? Oh, they were not smart enough....

I guess Pelosi was right....

Nobody knows whether Charlie Gard would have survived or what his life would have been like had British doctors and judges let his parents seek treatment abroad for his rare genetic condition months ago.

You want a judge to tell you what you can or cannot do with your child? If we go single payer....think about it...who's in charge, not you....

The 'right' is currently in charge of both houses of congress and the Presidency, there is no way Dems can fix anything when they lack even the ability to get legislation put up for a vote.

The child has the intellectual capacity of a lettuce leaf and is pain. The UK understands that you can't provide healthcare to people who need it if you are going to pay to keep every comatose brain dead patient on life support until their organs fail and rot.

Your use of "Charlie Gard' as some kind of 'proof' that universal health care is a failure is a really failed attempt to take attention off of the ACA replacement's offered so far which would deny children who have the ability to recover and thrive the opportunity to receive necessary medical treatment.

They had the ability when they passed the bill back at the beginning...were they not smart enough back then?

It's not about universal health care....and the only failed attempt is your nonsense about Charlie Gard as my proof....

Does it matter if he could be helped or not? What gives the court the right to tell you what you can or cannot do with your child?

Do YOU agree that a court should be able to tell you how to treat your child?
