It's like going to a boat show.

Just because there's a guy in the parking lot with a for sale sign on his Wave Runner doesn't mean he's using a "boat show loophole".
They believe there are people with booths at gun shows selling guns to anyone. It's just a matter of ignorance.

Ah yes. I have a giant pack of marshmallows for just that type of situation. I fear that a broom will harm the intruder so I will just lightly throw the marshmallows at him. Win win.

In my state ALL handguns buyers must go through a background check. Private sales of rifles, and shotguns can occur if the people ARE NOT PROHIBITED from owning a firearm. They are breaking the law if a rifle or shotgun is transferred to someone that is prohibited.

Exactly, if parents were more responsible, toddlers would not be able to get ahold of their guns.

"Gun show loophole, gun law loophole, Brady law loophole (or Brady bill loophole), private sale loophole, and private sale exemption are political terms in the United States referring to sales of firearms by private sellers, including those done at gun shows, dubbed the "secondary market".

"Under federal law, private-party sellers are not required to perform background checks on buyers, whether at a gun show or other venue. "

And any such law would be unenforceable.

Yeah - - the circumstance is that one person protected herself and another person freaked out and murdered someone. All of these people being law-abiding citizens - - until they weren't anymore.
