I went to a military funeral for a captain that lost his life over there. He only got to meet his baby son once, when he had a few days leave. There were quite a number of military colleagues at that funeral. All of whom were risking the same fate. It wasn't the kind of thing you wash off easily.

If we send our people to die, it better be for a goddam good reason. I don't see that reason in Afghanistan.

There was a reason back before Bush 2 side tracked us going to Iraq for no reason. He dropped the ball hunting for OBL and wanted to go back and finish the job his father failed to do in 1991.

The reason wars exist is because there is a profits to be made.

Look, Trump is going to fire anyone who doesn't bend to his will or gets more press then he does.

Period.

I have no idea but Trump is no Obama. Not even close. It's an insult to Obama to even compare that deranged nincompoop to him.

There's no precedent.
"There's no precedent."

How many generals and admirals did Obama get rid of, either outright firing them of forcing them to retire.

If you WERE a general or admiral under Obama and you did NOT follow what Obama wanted, he ignored their advice, you wre gone.

It seems post after post by dems show just the pathetic hypocrites they are.

Trump did this, etc, etc, etc. and Obama, Hillary and the dem congress did just about the EXACT same thing and nary a word of ridicule or complaint abut what they said or did.

NOW, because we have a repub in charge they whine, insult and complain!

This is not the same thing. At all. Even insubordinate statements, as in Truman/MacArthur, is not in play.

edit to add: It appears that Trump's gripe is that the Generals are "offering bad advice".
That seems - random - to say the least.
"For cause. If memory serves, one was for sexual assault, another for some sort of misconduct."

Which is why many of us do NOT trust the MSM.

The MSM did NOT report on all the Obama firings therefore YOU don't know.

Do a search using, number of generals and admirals fired by Obama, and get an education.

Agree he has that right ... however that's not the question here ( that'd be sortof a strawman argument) & so I agree also with the rest here.

With rights, come responsibilities, with ever expanding rights of POTUS, ...

It's a good thing he hasn't given up his day job, it'd be a better thing if he goes back to it.

The Dumba$$ Don said he knew more than the generals during the campaign. So, now it is time
to put up. So, the question is what is your plan? You think of something as you
are smarter than them all.

What's that?

Your plan is do the same thing you did when you renovated a restaurant?

No, Donald Dolt you are not smarter than your generals, or even the lowest buck private.
