His adoring fans still love him. These same people who voted him into the WH in 2016 would vote for him right now for the 2020 election. His people feel his pain and sympathize with a leader more sinned against than sinning. There is no competition anymore for their vote. The antics of the DNC, RINOs, the Liberal Left, the Media, academia and Hollywood just turn more and more voters to Trump.
As investigations into DNC and Clinton corruption gather steam, the timing could not be more perfect. Going into 2018 and then 2020, the public will have heard enough about how Obama and his and gang of well dressed thugs did what they could using a gross abuse of power to undermine the Trump WH. It will not be pretty and Obama will be a disgraced man by the time Trump is finished with him.
Again, and as we will see in 2018 and 2020, the MSM and Liberal America are losing their minds over a man who is playing them for the conceited and shallow assemblage of fools they really are.
Unifying? Do you even know what that word means? Never mind, that's a trick question because you wouldn't have used it in this context if you did. Trump is a divider who thinks that anyone who doesn't support him is wrong and a liar. There is nothing even remotely unifying about Trump beyond the fact that actual Conservatives and principled GOP members are now unified with Democrats in being repulsed by him.
Trump's simplistic fascist tactics are tried and true. Use hate against "them" as a rallying cry for the foaming mouthed fanatics, then keep driving the wedge until the country is divided. Keep provoking and goading until you get a reaction, and then use that as an excuse to destroy "them". And along the way relentlessly attack every critic and utterly destroy them. Trump understands that he MUST shut up the media, that's why he never stops his daily attacks. Once he silences the journalists, he has a clear road ahead, they are his greatest obstacle.
