The daughter of Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, like her father a Navy veteran, appears, in the rawest of terms, to have excoriated President Donald Trump in a social media post after the announcement that transgender soldiers would be banned from the military.
“This man is a disgrace. I've tried to keep politics out of my social media feed as much as possible, but this is inexcusable,” read a July 26 public Instagram post from what appears to be the account of Jennifer Detlefsen, the Navy diver daughter Zinke frequently mentioned in his successful 2016 re-election campaign for the U.S. House. Shortly after the election, Trump chose Zinke to lead the U.S. Department of the Interior.
“This veteran says sit down and shut the (expletive) up, you know-nothing, never-served piece of (expletive).” She also used a hashtag, #itmfa, that is an acronym for “impeach the (expletive) already.”
Well said, Ms. Detlefsen. And thank you for your service!
Wow, that's great to hear. Her father is a former Navy Seal, but, like the director of the EPA, his mission is not to preserve and protect, it is to exploit and extract from our most precious and threatened parks in this country.
Damn glad he has a smart daughter like that. God bless her, and thanks for your service.

This person's logical fallacy is ad hominem, op. She is certainly not a very good debater.
She's not very bright. Considering her position in the Navy, it's very likely she's still in either the active or inactive reserves. As such, she is still subject to the UCMJ and can be called upon active duty to be punished for violations of the UCMJ. Members of the US Military do not have the freedom of speech civilians enjoy. By using her position as a military veteran as well as being the daughter of a military veteran who is now in politics she has put the spotlight on herself in her saying negative things about the commander in chief of the military. If the JAG officials wish, they can bring her up for these statements. Publicly saying negative things about members of Congress and the President is a violation of the UCMJ. Some military officers were charged for this during Bill Clinton's time as president. She hastily posted out of anger and did not choose her words carefully. An intelligent veteran in such a high profile position knows how to walk the fine line between being critical without being disrespectful to the US President. Many enlisted have had to learn this when speaking to and about officers they hate and don't respect. We have to show respect for the rank they hold while being critical of the person who holds the rank.
And here I thought right-wingers always worshipped those who serve. I guess if they speak out against their new Messiah Trump, all bets are off.
We support the military service, doesn't mean we must respect every individual who serves regardless of what they do or say. I served 8 years in the Navy and what she said was very stupid for the reason I listed in my previous post.
