Part of the problem is zero hour conbtracts, a contract whereby the company will only pay you for the hours it needs and you don't have a guaranteed minimum weekly wage.
Zero Hour Contracts really need to be outlawed, as they are leading in many cases to increasing poverty at a time when company bosses are making excessive amountss of money.
Here in the US we just subsidize the low wagers with section 8, food stamps, medicaid, etc so they don't go out and strike. Just think about the millions of Walmart workers alone. A good portion of them rely on the state to make ends meet.
No , they won't.Not in Britain maybe the US but not Britain.
Last time I checked, the UK was still somewhat capitalistic, and also embraces technology, and advancement. Maybe those workers can be trained to install/repair the automation that will replace them, and make a higher wage to boot!
Then stop with the crap about how corporate tax cuts create jobs and leads to more tax revenue. You can't have it both ways.
Especially because that's a lie anyway.
Corporate taxes cost jobs, that's just a fact.
Additionally, corporations merely pass on the taxes which eventually makes it to the consumers. It's a hidden tax that you and I pay, but out of the two of us, you are the one who doesn't seem to understand that.
