Is it really that hard to understand what appropriate clothing is?

No. Its even easier to understand the difference between an employee and a customer.

I think it is sort of the new fashion trend, pregnant woman seem not embarrassed of their size these days. I am starting to notice pregnant woman even wearing yoga pants and skirts(doesn't show the belly of course), I think maybe just a decade ago most females were wearing those moo-moo dresses. So we may see more stories like this in the future.

I've seen all sorts of men with their beer bellies hanging out of the t-shirts. The t-shirts don't go down far enough down in front. Sometimes they are even full of holes.

You can also often see the butt cracks as well if you bother to look.

What part of the south does your daughter live in that she does not see men with their beer bellies visible beneath their t-shirts?
Do you mean a little bit of belly, or the guy wearing a shirt that was deliberately cut so as to cover up only his man boobs? Not the same thing, for either sex.

I've got to go. Duty calls. But just to be clear, two sides:

Pregnant woman was dressed indecently. Waitress was correct to enforce restaurant standards of decency.

OR

Pregnant woman was dressed decently. She showed a lot of belly, but the private parts were covered. Waitress was out of line.

Makes no difference whether this is a restaurant where a gravely-voiced waitress yells orders to a surly cook and the bar sells pull tabs, or the Four Seasons, if the establishment has a dress code, the staff is obliged to enforce it.

So now the question is, what is the dress code at the Buzz Inn?

Does this woman meet the decency standards of the joint or not?

What do the owners say?

I swear, people look for every reason to be outraged nowadays. I'm talking about both sides.

How about context?

Regardless of it being a employee or customer the dress code applies to pregnant women, 18 year old females with six pack abs, or a men.

That's speculation at this point. I'm sure one will try now, so perhaps we shall all know soon.

By product of generations living in a 1st world nation. At least our bellies are full and Netflix is streaming 99% of the time without lag.
