I do worry about escalation. Is it a coincidence that with Trump at the helm we are as close to war with NK as we have been since the Korean War?
I'm not saying Trump is "doing it wrong" - but I do worry that his tactics will backfire, and backfire with catastrophic effects. As someone who lives on the West Coast, this is something I think about (even if I know the risk is still quite remote).

How does she know for sure he won't follow through ?

Pelosi said that while she does believe Kim to be a bully, but she does not believe he'll "ever do any of these things" that are being threatened. She is concerned, however, that Kim is a "proliferator" and that the sabre rattling is his way of showing he has the scientific know-how to create weapons.
What do we get if Pelosi is wrong and Kim follows through on his threats?
What are you implying the alternative here is? Preemptive war on NK?
