McCain should confess to 'there have been stories"? . . . . . .

So its not as if President Trump is at fault for disliking McCain.
Heck, everyone is free to dislike whomever they want to dislike.
The problem is McCain cares too much about himself and what other's think of him....

Trump absolutely SHOULD apologize whether he likes McCain or not. He calls football players SOB's because they don't respect our military via the flag - yet obviously Trump himself has ZERO RESPECT for those that serve in our military.

McCain is dying. He doesn't give one fluck what you or Cheeto or anyone else thinks of him. Finally, he can vote for what HE thinks he right for the people in his state.

Yes, four times deferred for that pesky bone spur. Trump is all talk and no action in every aspect of his life.

A couple of months ago when the Senate was voting on aspects of the Skinny Bill, McCain asked for assurances that if he voted yes for Skinny Bill that the House and Senate would work together.
Paul Ryan immediately told reporters that if Skinny Bill passed the Senate then the House would conference with Senators and not simply approve Skinny Bill without alterations.
Ryan gave McCain exactly what he wanted, but McCain still voted no-

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said the House is willing to go to conference with the Senate on a healthcare bill the upper chamber is expected to approve Thursday night.

Ryan offered the assurance after Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and three other Republicans said they wanted a guarantee the House would not seek to just pass the scaled-back Senate bill instead of doing a conference, which could result in the emergence of a broader bill.

“Senators have made clear that this is an effort to keep the process alive, not to make law,” Ryan said in a statement. “If moving forward requires a conference committee, that is something the House is willing to do.”
McCain got his wish, but continued to obstruct.
That doesn't sound like someone doing right for the people in his state....

The more McCain criticizes each GOP healthcare bill, the more the media loves him.
All year (and last year) I saw McCain being chummy with the mainstream media and taking shots at President Trump.
So of course he's trying to be popular.
Even when Paul Ryan said he'd be willing to work with Senators if they passed the Skinny Bill in late July, McCain still voted no.
McCain just wants a pat on the back from Democrat media, and rejecting every bill is the key to that.

My respect for Senator McCain has risen considerably, the man has integrity.

Quite unlike president 'bone-spur' who attained the lofty rank of five deferments (one for every year McCain was in captivity) and who "always wanted a Purple Heart" but didn't have the stones to earn it. What a Jack Ashe.

Trump has a lot of nerve saying McCain was no war hero, Trump never even served because of a made up heel injury. Just par for the course with a low life like Trump, so no big surprise.

McCain was just saying that he was not the one who would continue a hostile relationship with Trump. He certainly was not seeking his approval. When you consider the deep and unfounded insults that Trump has launched at him, he was being quite generous.

He has nothing to apologize for. You know, people like you love to judge others in situations you have never been in. It's pretty pathetic. You seem to be a hero so tell me what you would have done.

But...having said all that...I can't stand the guy because he hates military retirees and tries to take medical care away.
Research Trump's history. He's only a millionaire because of his daddy. But he ran several businesses into bankruptcy.

Trump is a serial cheater too. Or have you conveniently forgotten he had two wives prior to Melania?

Trump hates the military too--as shown by the fact he refused to serve. I'm a vet, as is my father (who served in the very war that McCain did and Trump didn't.) Neither of us trust Trump so far as we can throw him when it comes to helping vets.

IOW....Trump is the 'mirror' of McCain, with one difference--McCain was at least willing to serve, even if he did screw up. Trump wouldn't even do that much.
