this was in October 2016, and it says that respect for cops was the highest it has been in 50 years! This, after all the anti police rhetoric from the left.
it seems the people realize that while bad police officers that abuse their power is a completely legitimate issue, the left completely politicized it by smearing all police officers as racist and acting that every case of a black man being shot by police was because of racism
this anti cop, anti flag, anti anthem stuff is a complete losing strategy for the Dems, and if they continue to double down on it they are walking off a cliff

The strawmen being set up by the far-right are dense enough to fill a field at this point. No, the problem is a lot of our politicians are in bed with the cops, cops do *internal investigations* when among themselves and aren't accountable to anyone.
The DOJ under Obama investigated the CPD and found a lot of problems, but NOTHING was done about them. Now why would that be, I wonder? Did the DOJ's investigation in Baltimore result in any changes? I'm asking because I don't know.
The entire group needs reforming with yearly psychological testing, immediate action taken, and investigations conducted by people who can be objective.
The law also needs to be changed so cops aren't given a greater advantage in a court of law.
Respect or fear of? Cops kill over a thousand folks a year and dont forget the theft, beatings, kidnapping...
And how many of those killings are justified? Most of them.
