Mental illness, no sane person would do something like this.
If it was a Muslim shooter would you be excusing him by saying he was mentally ill? How about if it was a black shooter?
Couldn't this guy just be a reprehensible white guy filled with hatred? That's what the claim would be for either of the two groups mentioned in my first paragraph.
Let me ask you this, we've had this "gun culture" in the U.S. since the country was conceived so why is it such a huge issue now (last decade or two)? What has changed?

Trump tweeted his "warmest condolences" to the victims. Even when he tries to sound consoling he comes across as a total clown. He is so far in over his head as President.
I try and give Trump a pass if things don't matter much but sometimes he does not know how and when to use thr right words
He probably meant to use Sincere condolences but instead used warmest. It does not sound appropriate in this tragedy. He needs someone to teach him the correct grammar and vocabulary.
It's early but we've got a few things learned about the gunman. He was known to local law enforcement. That could be nothing, or it could be key. Somebody said he was a registered sex offender. If true, that could lead somewhere.
Now what I find interesting is that he was said to won two airplanes. Now that means the guy had money and must have had an income to support that hobby. He was a manager of a retirement community. I think its possible he was into drug trafficking. Or if was of a certain type of sex offender, he might have had contacts with some very highly placed people. And either could explain his access to what might be restricted weapons. Automatic firearms are not illegal everywhere, but they are expensive to legally own and you have to go through background checks and register them.
I don't like the idea that he just snapped. He must have been facing something very serious in his life or was put into a position where he wanted to take revenge on innocents out of anger. We need to try to filter out the political spin the MSM will no doubt put into this and make sure they don't ignore facts or create ones to suit some narrative. Find out who he had contact with and you might find out why he did it.
Okay... You tell me what was WRONG and I'll google it. Tell me exactly what was incorrect.... Not just a general bs comeback like "google it", but tell me what was false about what I said.
Marines are still carrying an M16 variant, M16A4. Army, I believe has largely changed over to M4. NONE of those weapons are an AR15. None of them - full stop. The AR15 does not have an auto selector. Again, you were not issued an AR15 in military service.

Didn't Sean Penn have a gazillion guns? He's no conservative. I think his daddy was blacklisted during the McCarthy era.
Perhaps it has something to do with why the woman was out of the country as in he got dumped, not terrorism.
