No they wouldn't, because there is little doubt in my mind that Jeb would have lost. Jeb would not have carried PA, or the upper Midwest. Due to the awful D candidate, Jeb would have put up a fight, like Mitt Romney did in 2012, but when push came to shove, Hillary would have done whatever she needed to do against him, the lap dog media would have played her tune, and Jeb would have gone down to defeat by 50 or so electoral votes....welcoming in Queen Hillary. For all of Trumps' faults, and there are many -- he was the only R candidate with the guts to hit back even harder against the Clintons.

Whatever the source, all his promises, his grandstanding and MAGA talk and in the end, all he has done is make a mockery of our country and the office he holds. His whole being, emotionally, attitude, vocabulary, is that of an adolescent. I just wait for the moment he calls someone a Dodo head.

This was a hypothetical. Anything is possible in a hypothetical. The point was not to argue that Jeb would have won.

Everyone in this WH is accountable and if trump lets loose with nukes, they are responsible. Kelly needs to start the ball rolling on the 25th Amendment. NOW.

With Trumps unhinged behavior, you think the repubs against him, want their names out? Past crazy Trump behavior is only a prediction on future vile behavior. Last I remembered news outlets didn't need to name sources.

Remember Watergate? Oh you will be reminded of that soon.

I can picture the Orange one sitting on the toilet, twittering away at 3 am. Like the lunatic he is.

Only thing fake is him.

But all the die hard repubs care about is he is one of them. There team won! Remember folks, 50% of the population has an IQ less than 100. And they last November they voted repub.

Going to Vanity Fair for political news is like going to a payday loan company for a good loan.

From the link:
One former official even speculated that Kelly and Secretary of Defense James Mattis have discussed what they would do in the event Trump ordered a nuclear first strike. “Would they tackle him?” the person said. Even Trump’s most loyal backers are sowing public doubts. This morning, The Washington Post quoted longtime Trump friend Tom Barrack saying he has been “shocked” and “stunned” by Trump’s behavior.

While Kelly can’t control Trump’s tweets, he is doing his best to physically sequester the president—much to Trump’s frustration. One major G.O.P. donor told me access to Trump has been cut off, and his outside calls to the White House switchboard aren’t put through to the Oval Office.

If anyone reading this knows of a message board that discusses political issues like adults please PM me. Threads like this one, with links like this one, remind me that this place is becoming useless to discuss anything of consequence.

when Cheeto Jesus owned his casinos, there was no competition like now with CT and PA casinos taking a way a good deal of action. Not an analogous situation.

No surprise.

Kudos for doing some research. We all need to read several different pieces before forming an intelligent conclusion. While Vanity Fair may lean left, it isn't too far a stretch to believe that Trump isn't crumbling under the pressure. He has Mueller after him, he's alienated most of the Republican party, and the Democrats want him impeached yesterday. He's had three major hurricanes and the wild fires in California to contend with, zero progress on meeting campaign promises, North Korea and Iran to deal with. His base is eroding and he has Bannon who may turn on him as well. Add to the mix that he's elderly and all eyes are watching him ready to rip into him like a monkey on a cupcake for any miss step. That's a whole lot to deal with for someone as ill equipped emotionally as Trump is. Corker's comment is not only believable, but to be expected.
