These days, culture and the courts heavily tilt in favor of women. Men can barely a comment to women these days in a workplace or face a sexual harassment allegation. Approaching a woman is "creepy." Women dominate the family courts. By all means, women are now in an upper hand in many ways.

Yet over the past few weeks, we've had a piling on of Harvey Weinstein and other public figures. All these allegations have come out after the first person broke it. Why? Why now?

How do we reconcile all these allegations and supposed vulnerable women with a woman friendly culture?

Stop being crazy. Men can treat women as fellow human beings and have meaningful conversations with them with no realistic possibility of sexual harassment. Don't act all lewd and whatnot and you'll be fine.

Good question. It seems to be a pattern, not only with gender but with racial and ethic issues as well. As society moves toward increased opportunities for all, and becomes ever more accommodating of various interest group concerns, dissatisfaction and complaints only increase. I have no explanation for this.

When it pays to be a victim, victims abound.

Depends on the subject of the accusations.

This guy had to pony up what is rumored to have been 6 million even though prosecutors dropped the criminal case because their "victim" lied to them...

"Manhattan prosecutors dropped their case against Strauss-Kahn in August 2011, saying they had developed doubts about Diallo's trustworthiness. They said she had wavered in recounting her movements after the alleged attack and lied to them about her past, including a convincing but fictitious story of being gang-raped before."

The fact that she was found to lack credibility didn't prevent her unsupported accusations from destroying this man's life and threatening his freedom.

If you're a guy, you act normally and professionally towards a woman, and get falsely accused of sexual harassment, then you're a victim. But you shouldn't live your life in fear of being a victim. The only men who really should worry are those that are either sexually harassing women, or those that don't view women as equals.

One of the most blatant imbalances is that its ok to joke about a male's weight or draw cartoons of a politician with an exaggeration of his physical attributes, but its called sexist if you joke about a female's weight.
If females are really so offended by anything you say about their appearance, then maybe they need to improve how they view themselves, because it seems they place too much value on their own appearance.
Vanity, is an awful thing.
