Recall, Mr. Manafort and Mr. Trump met in the 1980s. Mr. Manafort owns an apartment in Trump Tower (since 2006) and joined the Trump campaign in March 2016 (in charge of the convention), being elevated to post of campaign chairman and chief strategist in May 2016, only having to resign on August 19, 2016, after an article by the NYT's concerning Russian money he received over a period of four years, up to 2012.
As Mr. Trump then claimed:
"I know Mr. Manafort — I haven't spoken to him in a long time, but I know him — he was with the campaign, as you know, for a very short period of time — for a relatively short period of time," Trump said. (from the link).

Yeah, too funny. Like Manafort stopped by Trump campaign headquarters and helped hand out pamphlets on a street corner for a few days.
Just as I predicted. Manafort will get nailed for shenanigans he did that has nothing to with the election or any Trump - Russia collusion.
Not a trumpie. But lets see some proof of collusion.
How about a meeting Manafort, Kushner and Jr were in where they hoped to get information on Clinton from Russian government sanctioned sources, and they knew this because the email detailing the meeting said so? Is that too much detail?
We must recall that a Grand Jury indictment is not a conviction or such. It only means that the Grand Jury found probable cause to return the indictment on charges brought by the prosecutor. The fact that the grand jury brought an indictment is also not evidence at a subsequent trial, since the legal standard is so low, and also since the defendant had no right to cross-examine the evidence considered by the grand jury.
