No other place I'd rather be.
God Bless America.

Hug a Veteran today and thank them for everything you have and hold dear to your heart.

I thank my lucky stars that by accident of birth that I'm an American.

I've been to and worked in the 3rd world.

I get the impression that most of us don't have a grip on how good we have it compared to the majority of people on this earth.

And to all fellow USMC vets: Semper Fi

To everyone who served, today is our day.

I’d rather be on my own private independent island, but I’ll settle for America.

John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

My Dad was one of 12 children - 6 boys, 6 girls.
All 6 boys fought in WWII - 4 in the Army, 1 in the Navy (as soon as he turned 18) & my Dad was a Marine. All returned home.

My Mother in Law was in the 2nd group of women inducted into the WAVES (Navy) in WWII.
My Father in Law was Army Corp of Engineers & fought at D-Day in Normandy.

My Godmother was a WASP - Women pilots in WWII, her husband was a Trainer of the WASPS.
MY Uncle (Mother's only brother) was Army and fought in WWII & Korea.

2 Family member is the Coast Guard - one in WWII, one during Vietnam.

I now only have 2 Family Veterans still living - The WAVE from WWII and Coast Guard from Vietnam.

Our Veterans have given much - I've been watching the Ceremony at Arlington Cemetery today.
It's worth noting that I only see that shown on ONE media venue.
