Actually witch hunts are a depressingly common feature in America...across the world too, maybe it's just in the nature of the human psyche. The first time I became aware of such a phenomenon was the day-care sex-abuse hysteria of the late 80's and early 90's featuring truly bizarre charges against day-care providers of child abuse, including Satanic ritual abuse. There were people that actually believed you could insert a butcher's knife into a child's rectum without damaging them.

You Democrats should be uber-sensitive to this. The birther thing was a witch hunt and you could easily argue the Clinton/Lewinsky mess turned into a witch hunt. I'd argue the Russian fairy tale is a witch hunt. I'd also argue the Weinstein mess in NOT a witch hunt, the man was a predator and used his position of power to abuse women...that's illegal.

The social media make it easy to gin up the kind of hysteria needed to keep a witch hunt going...they bring out the lowest common denominator in everyone.

I am female--and at 16 I may have not know much, but knew better than to do that.

This girl is a couple years older than my son. When he was 16, the 14 to 16-year-old girls chasing him were 900% more worldly than I ever was.

I'm sorry she made a stupid decision--teenagers do. Since she willingly went into the room with him, I would doubt that the police at the time would have considered rape or assault charges. Sex with a minor maybe, but in Las Vegas? Doubtful.

Wonder what her agenda is for coming forward now?

I'm glad he's denying it. See how that works? She said one thing, and guess what - he says another. No one really knows. Just because a woman accuses does not make it so. Someone has to put the foot down on this BS.

Not really, men have been falsely accused for ages. It's hard to defend yourself in a he said she said ordeal, especially when it supposedly happened years ago.

This true more and more, the agenda is always the same for most big names that get accused ,the accuser wants money.

It's fairly normal from a biological standpoint to be attracted to teenagers, but forcing or pressuring young people to give older unattractive men sex scars them, and should be punished severely. However you have to prove it. He said, she said stuff is hard to prove.

We we're marrying at age 15 even in the US into the 1900's and in much of the world sex with teenagers is still normal, but it's usually consensual... a teenager might find a 23-26 year old man attractive.. not a 45 year old with a beer gut who has a lot of money and think's he's invincible.

That's the ultimate problem. People in positions of power taking advantage of the weak.
