A Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe leader issued a damning response Wednesday to President Donald Trump’s “Pocahontas” slur earlier this week during an event meant to honor Navajo Code Talkers.
Harold Frazier, chairman of the South Dakota-based tribe, said he was “deeply ashamed” of Trump’s “disgusting” treatment of the World War II veterans and appeared to suggest that the president should resign.
“The President of the United States had an opportunity to honor veterans and bridge gaps in the relationship Tribes have with the Federal government,” Frazier said in a statement sent to HuffPost. “Instead, he chose to disgrace himself, his position and the nation he represents.”
As usual, every last occasion is all about Trump - from the Boy Scouts to the Navajo Nation to our veterans. It's not "America first" but rather "Trump first!" Why couldn't he have just honored those old veterans who won't be with us much longer instead of bringing politics into it? MAGA??????
One Native American said he was not offended and therefore all Native Americans were cool with his remarks and the picture in the background. It's true. I read it on this forum.
What in the world does Elizabeth Warren have to do with honoring these veterans? Why go there?
Obviously, neither Trump or any of his staff are familiar with Andrew Jackson's long held position on the "Indian Problem" and desire to appease white European immigrant squatters who demanded government give them fertile land for cotton crops. Obviously none of them ever heard of the Trail of Tears.

Because people like Trump don't understand when to keep their collective mouths shut. Trump is trash plain and simple there is no excuse for him anymore, yet his voters think that this ok and are blinded by their hate for the left.
Trump loves the spotlight! Nothing more he loves the attention like a little child or a puppy.
His ego needs to be fed on a daily bases and when he's out in public he says or does something so all the focus will be on him. He doesn't care if their are ramifications for his actions as president he thinks he above it.
