Local CBS news investigated one of the largest Medical Pot dealers in AZ and found that they've got a mold problem on the Pot they're selling and when confronted the CEO did a perfect Tobacco company executive impersonation in their defense.
The video is enlightening to say the least...
Lab tests find mold on medical marijuana sold in Phoenix; 'It should be pulled off the shelf'
I would think there would be a better chance of quality control when something is legal and regulated than sold by street dealers and the Mexican cartel.

Who buys that Mexican junk when the streets are flooded with MJ from the legal states?
Not "just" AZ by the way. While 2 states have some guidance when it comes to mold it's interesting that the standard of allowed mold in those 2 states is reportedly higher on something you ingest than it is on a house you'd live in where the tolerance is ZERO.
I wonder why that is?
Probably because due to reefer madness, very little reliable research exists on exactly what good standards should look like.
BTW, in case you didn't know, the food you buy from the store is not guaranteed to be contaminant-free. Neither is the water that comes out of your tap.
So anyone who points out the very real hazard of ingesting a poison called black mold is somehow automatically equated to refer madness?
Hey, go ahead and roll up your mold of choice and enjoy the after effects.
Personally I think if someone is selling something people ingest they should be made to follow at least basic health standards for FOOD and other Drugs or do you think those are stupid as well?
I read the article. I didn't see any mention of black mold.
Since you apparently don't know, "black mold" is a specific species of mold - stachybotrys chartarum (Black Mold Symptoms & Health Effects, Toxic Stachybotrys). The article mentions only yeasts and molds, of which there are thousands of species. Keep in mind that penicillin and like anti-biotics are molds, and that you breathe and eat many mold and yeast organisms and spores every day - in fact, every minute - unless you're the boy in the bubble.
And again, I support evidence-based standards for regulating marijuana contaminants. Only one teensy tiny little problem - the FDA can't set those standards because people like you make it illegal to perform the research.
This reminds me of the paraquat scare from yesteryear. Honestly, who cares? Anyone who puts mind altering substances in their bodies is not worth worrying about. The fewer pot heads and druggies among us the better.
There are food and product recalls all the time. Why is this in P&C?

I comprehend just fine, probably better than you remember what you've responded to. One plus one equals the response you got. Let me guess, MMJ user?

You'd think but given what's going on evidently it's not. <shrug>
