You'd think people would have learned that with Reagan and both Bushes. All three, especially Reagan and GW Bush, heard calls for their impeachment starting the day they were sworn in. Dislike does not equal impeachable.

Exactly.

And when/if the time comes where they could have a meaningful vote on meaningful articles, it will fail because of the precedent it would set. Power structures change, but power itself, once granted, is never returned. The incumbents know this. Impeach Trump based on polls and shad optics now, and the next Democrat POTUS, who is guaranteed to be just as shady and sleazy as any other politician, will be investigated endlessly and impeached just as frivolously as the impeachment of Trump would be.

And if crap like Fast & Furious, weaponizing the IRS against Republican PACs (so much worse than breaking into the DNC offices back in 1972), and selling legislation/secrets/weapons to Iran didn't stick to Obama, there really is nothing that will stick to Trump. Partisans will always believe that whatever the other party does is the most heinous, evil, wicked thing ever, but the misdeeds and hijinks are almost identical and just get different treatment depending on the party doing them.

Trump will not get impeached. They'll poll it and yap about it until he is no longer in office, same as Obama's dumb***** birth certificate nonsense, but it isn't going anywhere.

The US is in desperate need of a POTUS who at the very least can walk and chew gum at the same time. That would NOT be Trump.
are you actually advocating the impeachment of a president because the congress passed a "tax break", he is "unpopular, he "fractured the republican party", and your personal opinion that he "can't walk and chew gum"?

not only would impeachment of a legally elected president for legal legislation passed by a legally elected congress and unpopularity set a dangerous precedent for future presidents, this action would tear the country apart at the seams.

False narrative. Lying to his wife is not impeachable. However, lying under oath in a court proceeding, which is what President Clinton was impeached for, is.

Funny how the actual charges are always diverted to sex. I guess that serves to confuse people.

He was impeached by the House for perjury and obstruction of justice, and the vote in the Senate went nowhere, as everyone expected the entire time the special counsel was wasting American taxpayer money and time. This will be the exact same thing with Trump, although I doubt the House will actually ever get the votes to successfully send articles to the Senate for consideration.
