Since you suddenly claim to have this knowledge, how about if you share the statistics and inside information you have that supports your "opinion."

I don't want respect, I want people in other countries to pay their fair share for R&D so I pay lower prices.

The mere fact that a company can charge some exorbitant rate for drug that is no longer patented is all the proof I need.

Here is a creative method for drug companies to keep the price high.

Drug company Allergan sold the patent for its medication Restasis to the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe in Upstate New York. The tribe will exclusively license the drug back to the company, saving the potentially vulnerable patent from the competition of generic drug makers.
Why a Drug Company Is Selling Patents to a Native American Tribe

If the laws and regulations allow a company to protect their market what else do you expect? This happens throughout every industry big and small. If you want to change this you need to look at the laws and regulations that allow this to happen. Piling on more which is typical liberal response only makes it worse.

You are in support of regulating companies and industries?

Yeah you say that now to make a good show for your right wing masters but your stance would change pretty quick if you or a loved one were actually faced with dying because you can't afford the medication that would save your life. I guarantee it. How do I know? Because it's human nature.

It's easy for you guys to sit up there on your throne and preach conservative dogma when it's someone else facing the situation. But once it's you in that position the tune changes pretty quick. It always does.

I'm for regulations/laws that are practical, sane and make sense. e.g. making sure a company manufacturing pharmaceuticals meets standards for quality control would be something that makes sense. You have single company manufacturing a drug that is no longer patented and is able to sell it at some exorbitant price, find out why and fix it. The "why" is likely because of existing laws and regulations.
