That democrat narrative plays loose with the truth, if not outright deceptive.

http://beta.latimes.com/opinion/op-e...114-story.html

The average age of DACA participants is now 24. Few after entering adulthood sought to address their known illegal status.

Surveys suggest that most are:

not in school; fewer than 5% have graduated from college.

Those employed earn a median hourly wage of $15.34, which means they are forced to compete on the lower end of the wage ladder.

Only about a tenth of 1% of DACA youth serve in the U.S. military — fewer than 900 total.

....it’s often said....that the approximately 690,000 dreamers were “brought to this country by their parents.” ....But that’s not required to qualify as a protected dreamer under the various plans, including Obama’s. You just have to have entered the country illegally before age 16. You could have decided to sneak in against your parents’ wishes. You’re still a dreamer.

I'm not for a blanket daca bill for these illegal people. I do firmly support individuals going through a thorough vetting and getting legal status, not citizenship, if they:

were brought by their illegal parents to the us before age 16,

are in high school or college,

are fully employed,

never applied for welfare, and

are without any violations of law.

I think most are like the man from Michigan.

He was brought here when he was 10. He did apply for citizenship but was denied....but because he did apply he exposed his illegal status of course. They 'allowed' him to stay but he had to check in for 13 years he checked in as required. He has an American wife, American kids, works, has no criminal record -- other than having legal status.

Left it out -- but we all know he was deported.

Empathy should be a standard lesson in every American household. It is severely lacking today.

And no, this is not an endorsement of unchecked immigration.

Exactly -- you can empathize -- try to fix the wrongs of the past and at the same time shore up immigration policies and procedures.

The biased liberal media will never tell you these unpleasant things. They instead will show you the exceptions like some guy/girl doing a post graduate degree or who did something charitable.

The biased liberal media is the biggest threat to our democracy. They are fiercely loyal to one party (the Democrats) and opposed to the other (Republican). They definitely have a lot of power to sway minds and thus votes, unfortunately.

Oh stop it already. here's the average salary for americans age 20-24. So, ummmmm, if the average DACA is 24 years ago, then they're earning pretty much about on par as what any other 24 years old american is earning.

The Average Salary 20-24
As you might expect, earnings increase beginning in one’s 20s. The average salary of 20-to-24-year-olds is $528 per week, $27,456 per year. Many Americans start out their careers in their 20s and don’t earn as much as they will once they reach their 30s.

TRY HARDER. We see through your thinly veiled attempt at making them appear less "worthy" of being americans.

I have asked repeatedly of the anti DACA crowd what to do about DACA people. I am always told they should be deported. No one wants to tell me how that would be done. Cost? Timeframe?

The Congress of the USA has had years to do something about illegals. Seems like my whole life. They ignore and hope the problem goes away. Not a one of them wants a recorded vote where they could be held accountable.

Do not re elect anybody.

a small portion of the 4.3 million Dreamers that's who they are. They are the ones foolish enough to become part of a registry(to come get them for deportation)
