Richard Spencer and others of his ilk would not or rather, should not be assigned to serve on a jury in a Dylan Roof-type case, due to conflict of interest. That's only because their political philosophies are very closely aligned and subsequently pose a threat to our national security.

The Klan was once a very popular group existing primarily in the south. These days, there are many Klan-like splinter groups who are now gaining much notoriety due to our current administration. Strangely enough, something similar is occurring in Europe, as well.

IMHO, this is a very dangerous epoch in time. These groups present a very serious threat to our democratic civilization. I believe that the previous administration was aware of this threat and acted accordingly.
So, you think that neo-Nazis and kkk members are a greater threat to America’s security and civilization than criminals and gang members in our inner cities?

How many of the thousands of homicides, rapes, robberies, thefts and other crimes committed every year in a single city like Baltimore are committed by neo-Nazis or kkk members?

The Obama WH knew, why didn't the Obama admin do anything about it. Seriously, anyone who doesn't understand that Russia always has and always will try to destabilize our gov't is naive. Yet our secretary of state had an unsecure server in a bathroom and got away with it. We can't allow our gov't to be careless but we did and some still defend it.
So you don't think the current administration is "careless"? The same administration that implored Russia to assist in obtaining Hillary-related emails...

It's most likely that the Obama administration was studying Russian interference methodology while Russia was strategically accelerating implementation.

The Obama administration was no doubt completely taken by surprise at the conclusion of the 2016 election.

Sorta like the batter at home plate watching the curve ball as it unexpectedly smashes into his face.

Most urban crimes that involve physical harm to others are a result of petty theft, domestic quarrels, and highly disorganized gang-related crimes. Most crimes stem from both ignorance and poverty. These crimes do not rise to the level of threatening our system of government or national security.

In most minority communities the majority of the residents are for the most part peaceful and law-abiding. Of course, just like in any community, it's the fringe minority within that wreaks the most havoc.

OTOH, the Klan has deep historical and cultural roots. Some members are descendents of wealthy Klan members who wield much power in certain communities. While they appear to be regular law-abiding citizens, there's nothing more they'd desire than to completely eliminate certain ethnic groups from our society. The Klan is a "secret" terrorist group. Their interpretation of civilization and a democratic society is NOT what most Americans would consider to be either equitable or "balanced".
These people are beginning to quietly infiltrate important positions of power within our government.

If wire tapping is used for personal political gain, then that would be an abomination.

OTOH

If wire tapping is done in order to conduct proper surveillance on those who would undermine our democracy, then that would be considered as an honorable act of patriotism.

I voted no. But people need to start understanding that our whole political system was hijacked a long time ago--so the question isn't all that relevant.

Like I stated before, this thread doesn't represent the actual facts that both Obama and Hilary are more popular and admired than Trump through our voting system and Gallup. Who do I believe, the voting public or this thread survey? I'll go with the voting public.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton Retain Most Admired Titles

President Obama is most admired man for the 10th year in a row and Hilary for the 22nd time. I guarantee Donnie boy will never make that list for 10 years straight or 22 times. Ever!

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...b0b0e5a7a4120b

I'll wait for the Donnie supporters to throw in their baseless hate of the popular vote and Gallup.
The bolded might make sense if Hillary had gotten 50% of the popular vote, and had still lost because of the electoral college.....but that didn't happen.

The majority of the votes cast were for candidates other than Hillary:

Percentage of all votes cast that were cast for Hillary..................48.2 %
Percentage of all votes cast that were cast for Trump + others.....51.8 %

And no...I'm not a Trump supporter, not a Trump voter, and not a Republican.

Did you read your own Gallup link?

I thought it was pretty interesting. Included was the point that Hillary's favorability rating registered the lowest ever for her, and the author wrote that this helps indicate that Hillary beat out women who are better liked than she is, but didn't surpass Hillary re not being as well known. Also included...1% of Republicans admire Obama most, and 3% of Democrats admire Trump most.

note to max210:

That Obama/Wheel of Fortune picture is hilarious !

Just because you repeat a lie doesn't make it true. For example in Britain universal healthcare was implemented in 1948, three years after WWII which almost bankrupted Britain. Not to mention that a bit later Britain also could afford nuclear weapons.

In most European countries universal healthcare was implemented during the height of the Cold War when the countries spent several times more on defence than they do now. Except for Germany, where universal healthcare was implemented by Bismarck in the 19th century.

And even if it were true, how could the USSR afford universal healthcare back in 1969?

I am a big fan of Obama. He did great in terms economy and recovery. His biggest mistake is not to keep Hillary away from his administration. As things started coming out, she is kinda corrupted his admin. He spent all his energy on making her president. This poll results are big eye opener. I was expecting a big support for Obama on these forums.

Obama is a skunk. He weaponized every government agency against the American people. With any luck, he will soon be indicted for his roll in the illegal use of the FISA court to spy on American citizens, and primarily the Trump Campaign.
