FWIW I do think there are too many progressives in the Republican party as well and they would get caught up in the Hillary/Obama crimes so they don't want that.

Hillary and Obama thought she had it in the bag and then freaked when she lost. They had to come up with a way to clean up their mess...that is what Mueller is doing...nothing else.

See I think Mueller is intentionally only looking for Russians, whereas if President Trump conducted the investigation it'd cover the whole world and I bet we'd find a lot more than 13 people, and they'd be from other countries.
Mueller is too focused on Russia because the Russian narrative is what the FBI prefers.

The problem is, Trump will never acknowledge that there WAS any Russian interference. NEVER. He is too deep in hock to the Russians and would be shooting himself in the foot if he went against them.
As for Trump running this investigation, why the Hell would we want the Fox let loose in the hen house? Trump is the one being investigated, and it probably isn't a good idea to let him investigate himself.....just sayin'.
