Wow, this is a sure sign that Mueller is... WINNING. Trump's lawyers are negotiating from a position of weakness.

Translation:

Trump's lawyers think he's guilty. His lawyers don't want Trump to agree to an interview because they think he'll incriminate himself. Rather than saying "No" to an interview, they came up with an unreasonable demand.

They know Mueller won't agree to the demand. They want to give the appearance that Trump didn't back out of the interview.

What a JOKE. Notice how differently Republicans are about this as opposed to the way they treated Clinton? Let Mueller get through everything and when it's all pretty much done, interview Trump last. Then indict Trump as the way to "end" it.

The only way this is true is if Trump's lawyers took a bet that they couldn't get the normally stoic Mueller to laugh in their faces.

Mueller laughs. I bet this was more for if they could make him giggle.

Seriously, a witness in a investigation doesn't get to set these sorts of terms, its ludicrous.

Mueller will simply compel him. Trump is not a dictator. And this was settled under Clinton when he was forced to testify under oath.

Remember when Cobb came out last fall and said, oh yes, rest assured this investigation will be over by Christmas? LOL, that was a joke then and this is a joke now.
