First they essentially ban the book in public schools because they don’t think high school kids can handle the story now they are butchering the story because they don’t think Broadway play goers can handle the story.

First problem is it’s obvious you didn’t read the story. Not that you have the ability to understand it but you could make an attempt.
You seem to be the one with questionable reading comprehension skills and are obviously upset that it has been pointed out to you. They altered the book in their interpretation, which was not what was agreed upon. OMG a five year old would get this.

They turned Atticus Finch into a social justice warrior who rails against racism the entire play instead of the man of his time who had his eyes opened during the trial by the injustices of racism from a position of being an entitled, wealthy person.
So they essentially destroyed the entire story. You don’t see that as a problem and a symptom of what is happening in this country?
