These allegations (any of them, not just this latest one) are baseless. Emolulents are gifts or profits derived solely from the office itself. Nothing of that sort is going on, and it doesn't matter who stays at his properties. Unless he is requesting them to do so as a prerequisite for some kind of official act or something of that nature, there is nothing wrong with that.

If Kerry had won would he be violating the Emolulents clause because we're all buying his wife's ketchup? Its nonsensical.

There are other actual violations of the Emolulents clause like the many that involve the Clintons and their foundation, but Trump's hotel business is an actual business, not a shady way for the Clintons to get rich from selling their political influence.

Nobody would try to get rich from drumming up business at a hotel, that's peanuts. The casinos are where the money is...I doubt the hotel part of the operation makes a penny - its a low margin business.

You are right// it's been ignored because Nationally due to DJT's continues tweets deflecting away from all those other issues! Actually "Emolument" Issues have been spoken about since DJT's inauguration..

GOP Congress has been sweeping (under rug) everything they could to deflect from ACTUALLY investigations..

But the STATES are doing their PART! Trump thought he could truncate these investigations by firing the AG's in STATES LOL ... BUT Trump Enterprise ( including his FAMILY members) have been doing exactly what's being proposed !

State Crimes cannot be pardon'd by His Majesty DJT!!

The hotel in Washington showed a 4.1M change from what was projected, despite charging more for it's rooms than other similar hotels. Not exactly chump change.

In addition, the lease on the building specifies that it cannot be used for profit by anyone in office (IIRC).

Aren't you Loony Leftists getting tired of being jerked around by the propaganda media dangling shiny keys in front of you? They make money from your clicks and your eyeballs, you know. They will say and do anything to make money.

Many Trump supporters will never find anything wrong with his behavior, no matter how egregious. "I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and these people would still vote for me" -DJT

Actually the Trump corporation signed a document that they would give up the lease if Trump won the election
They lied...
And the head of the Govt office that was trying to force them to leave was himself forced out of office...
Sound familiar---
Make Trump mad, get kicked out of your job???

That should be our biggest worry, that Trump, coming under fire from so many sides, will fly completely off his rocker and do something that will put our survival in jeopardy. The fact that he just hired a loose cannon like John Bolton to be his national security adviser, should be alarming, all by itself. The man is a warhawk and would like nothing better to finish his career, than to send nukes at our enemies. He would end more than his career and we might not be around anymore to condemn him. Someone has to step in while there's time and neutralize these maniacs.
