I'm not completely satisfied with it but at least we got some border spending and the Dems didn't get their DACA. I wonder what Chucky and Nancy think about that? They feel good about that? Sounds like someone is trying to save face.

25 Republican Senators voted for the $1.3 trillion budget bill.

145 Republican Representatives voted for it.

Still want to blame Democrats?

No, TR (Asst. Sec. to the Navy?) saw real geopolitical advantages to the US being a rising sea power, especially in the Pacific. Unfortunately, he later gave away the store when he privately assured the Imperial Japanese Empire that the US would not be terribly upset if IJE were to overrun Korea. (We were, @ the time, guaranteeing Korea's independence.) TR thought that the IJE were people we could do business with - as they were also a rising power in Asia.

As Realpolitik, a terrible legacy ensued in IJE's conquest of Manchuria, coastal China, the Western colonies south of Japan, the Philippines, & on to the borders of India.

No, after WWII, US policy was to maintain a strong defense - a standing army, navy, Marine Corps, & later a separate air force. & later ICBMs, long-range bombers, & all the bases & logistics & support personnel & materiel & equipment to keep all that going.

They looked surprised.

They knew the lobbyist wrote the bill like they do all bills. They didn't have time to read it either and wouldn't if they did.

The GOP came through for them and they were all smiles and naturally should be. They hit the lottery. The people bought their ticket.

Well, Republican Donald Trump and Republican Jeff Sessions just decided to violate the 2nd Amendment.

Better start holding...

BS. Obama did not do anything to help our Military. He was too busy helping Illegal Aliens and Sanctuary Cities. Did you like being put on the back burner behind Illegal Aliens? You must have. Demorats have no defense, have no plan, and are a worse threat to America than ISIL.

Why do you want a strong military? This country faces no threat of being invaded; we're surrounded by oceans and have Canada to the north. We haven't fought a war of defense since 1812.

The $700 billion military budget should be cut to $7.

Trump’s gut instinct was to veto and he should have gone with that.

He’ll look back on this one with regret. A big missed opportunity.

He is listening to the wrong people.
