Given that the NRA spent much more this election cycle then normal, backing Trump, I would say its a real possibility Russian money backed Trump.

Why?

Because NRA is a HUGE wedge, dividing D & R. Which is what the Russkies wants.

The Russkies know full well that the NRA and the policies surrounding them causes discourse among Americans. C'mon this is common sense. Any issue or agency that promotes angst within the USA between its citizen is fair game to murderous dictator Putin.

Their books are good in the sense that they cover there asses very well, not in terms of proving that they are innocent.
What else, beside influencing law makers, does the NRA do with it s donations?

Why shouldn't individuals in other countries support an organization in the US they agree with? I'm sure plenty of US democrats have donated to the IRA in Ireland.

The NRA does more to promote safe firearm handling and training and hunter education than anyone else in the country. They sponsor school rifle teams, they have scholarships. That's what they do with the money. Contrary to what ignorant anti gun nuts tell you the NRA isn't only about influencing law makers.

4 of the biggest GUN manufactures which some do have plants in the US, but are owned in other counties; import GUNS into the US to name some: Sig Saur, Glock, Heckler & Kosh, and Beretta.

You don't think a GUN manufacture is not interested in not only GUN rights but also laws that correspond to them.

Interesting that the only example you can think of involves sending money to foreign terrorists to help them kill political opponents.

Yes, you're right, there's nothing wrong with this at all.

And it doesn't seem odd to you that people in other countries would donate money to teach people in the wealthiest country in history how to handle firearms safely?

Jesus christ almighty, what are you people THINKING?

They promote the sport of shooting and marksmanship through both education and matches, teach and certify police and security instructors, train about 1,000,000 civilian gun owners a year in basic rifle, pistol, shotgun, muzzleloading firearms, personal protection, and ammunition reloading. Additionally, more than 28 million pre-kindergarten to fourth grade children have learned that if they see a firearm in an unsupervised situation, they should "STOP. DON'T TOUCH. RUN AWAY. TELL A GROWNUP."

There is a lot more but I wanted to keep it short with just the basics. If you really care to, you can read this: https://home.nra.org/about-the-nra/
