I can only hope. Roseanne can take Wanda Sykes and Kathy G. with her. They are all vile.
Well, Wanda Sykes was the chief writer on Rosanne's show. And I think she was instrumental in actually making political and social issues more nuanced in the scripts. One could even hope that the dynamics in the scripts would help lead to better understanding between peoples of different views - such as between Roseanne and Jackie, how she grappled with a Muslim neighbor, or a transgender person...but all of that went out the window when Roseanne went off on a rant (and torpedoed the opportunity for bridging the gaps).
You give the dems far too much credit to be able to figure it out.
Well I think the Obamas and Sharptons don't want to figure it out. They already understand it--they are smart guys to get where they are in life. But the useful idiots, the masses of Democrats, I think can be turned around--at least some of them.
Part of it is a lack of messaging by Republicans, but this is slowly changing. These things take time. It took the Democrats several decades to get a lock on the black vote, and it will take the GOP decades to open the lock.

Barr is reportedly considering fighting the firing by CBS. I don't blame her a bit. Besides the fact her contract at $10 million per episode likely would have to be paid in full due to breach by the network, it is clearly bias that pulled the trigger on her show.
Last night Sean Hannity reviewed all the racist and sexist skits and portrayals that CBS permitted to air without anyone suffering for it. Including Jimmy Kimmel doing a pathetic mockery of an NBA player not in black face. But in full black body and face costume. He's still on the air long after he insulted an actual NBA player with that skit.
Then there's his sexist, sexually offensive woman-on-the-street skit that he did where he could be said to have sexually harassed random women on camera! Still on the air Jimmy? How's that happen when NOW at the very least should have raised a stink?
Samantha Bee called the FLOTUS the C word publicly. She's still got a job. Had she called Mrs.Obama that she'd have been out of a job less than an hour after her filthy mouth closed.
