I waa thinking that too. Trump did say you would have to ask Michael about that. No one myself included thought he wold be asked by the FBI breaking down his door. Trump needs to learn two simple words. NO COMMENT.
I could be wrong, but I don't think Nixon was ever convicted of any crime as far as Watergate was concerned. I know he was granted a pardon by his successor shortly after leaving office, but that was a pardon for any crimes he "might" have committed. Also, Nixon was not impeached for his possible involvement in Watergate either. He resigned from his post as President of the United States. However, more than likely he would have been impeached if the proceedings had been allowed to go forward had he not resigned.
Again he would have to admit to any crimes "he might have committed".As far as the actual crime of the Watergate no he was not but he resigned before he could be brought up on cover up charges which is why Ford pardon him like he did. but to be pardon Nixon still had to admit possible guilt.
To everyone who is gloating over this. Today Trump, Cohen, etc., tomorrow or next week it will be You, your kid, your father, your sister. When is this underhanded crap going to stop?
The FBI has gone full rogue.....clearly it is infested with Swamp Creatures.....hateful unAmericans out to conduct a coup on our President. Its an assault , an actual one , on our nation and the rule of law on which it is based.
They should be dealt with. Disbanded. Jailed. Executed. What have you. Whatever it takes to get rid of these enemies of our country.
Honestly, this kind of talk is frightening. Murdering people because they're investigating politicians you like? That's the country you want to live in?
A judge is going to have a high bar to grant a search warrant. There must have been very compelling evidence of wrong-doing.
Raiding an attorney who is working on an active case for POTUS --- you know there is a high bar as to what was provided
And there is even more required to get a no-knock warrant
And what about the poor generals? The senior military officers were there for a briefing about Syria, and instead they get trapped there as Trump goes on an off-script rant about the FBI.
Goodness, what a mess.
