Now most folks around these parts believe consent comes from standing in a certain geographic area or sliding out of a vagina so I can see why this hard for them to understand but anything you consent to doing is automatically not slavery.

That was a short clip however seemed to be heading in the right direction. I like Joseph Stiglitz' take on the 'invisible hand', free market, externalities, balance ... . Here's a clip from one of his Q & A type interviews:

Beg to differ though re: free market.
Another member here claimed "that 'collectivism' doesn't prevent natural disasters, poor farming skills, disease and suffering".
While this is true, the 'free market' doesn't either. Nor government, art, science, technology, etc.
No one gets out of here alive, so to speak, so why not give humanity a break? We're very often doing the best we can, with creative & critical thinking strategies & skills, our abilities to manage resources, develop functional tools, our natural tendency to adapt to an ever-changing environment, et cetera, et cetera.
Why mistake the tool for the person using it? An obvious however fatal flaw.
This is comparing real things to other real things.

What if someone is is actively spreading a virus unknowingly is that persons rights more important than all the people he or she could potentially kill?
