I guess she ignores her cities social problems, while she preoccupies herself with how to give illegal aliens red carpet treatment.

Homicides up nearly 20% in Oakland with 26 homicides this year already.

Seems to be the new Democratic platform though. Ignoring rapidly declining living conditions while focusing on illegal aliens.

The more third-world and unlivable the conditions in liberal Democratic cities, the more they complain about President Trump and protecting illegal aliens as that diverts attention from the real issues.

Just as a comparison, Omaha of similar population which has a very conservative Republican Mayor Jean Stothert has only seen 8 homicides this year.

You should vote her out. That's how democracy works.

Power to the people. If she's doing a bad job, vote her out.

She's up for re-election this November. I don't see her not winning a second term. She is what Oakland needs right now and I'm not talking about the sanctuary city stuff - that is just one of many issues. Besides, the noise about the immigration just solidified her with the left wing activists who didn't like her before. The triggered OP and others like her know nothing else about Schaaf besides what Fox and Dorrito boy tell them. Shrug...

Stop worrying about Oakland, it’s doing just fine. Life must really suck in San Antonio for you to be preoccupied with the politics of a city 2000 miles away.

Like Detroit, Oakland is a pit. I’ve been to Oakland, couldn’t wait to leave.

How is it working out for San Jose? Last I checked, San Jose has a low murder rate, low unemployment rate, and is the only city in the Bay Area region with a population of 1 million or more residents. It is the epicenter of Silicon Valley.

That’s nice . So everyone should just move to Silicon Valley and get one of those high paying tech jobs right ? Why are people spinning their wheels working at McDonald’s when they could be making big money developing apps in Silicon Valley ?

But even the techies often can’t afford to live there ..

Beverly Hills has a low murder rate too .. especially since the Menedez Brothers have been in jail for decades .
