Four Milwaukee Police officers are recovering after getting into a fight with a man after responding to a domestic violence call Wednesday.

It happened at around 8:15 p.m. in the 4900 block of W. Medford.

Police say a 25-year-old man suffering from a mental health episode had become extremely violent toward his family members and other individuals in the neighborhood.

If you go to the end of the video. The neighborhood shows up and begins to blame the police. They also say their happy the police were injured. So sad how the community could think of their law enforcement officials that were called to help them in the first place.

Looks like the police handled it well. I'm not sure I can say the same for society.

If you go to the end. People that were not there from the beginning start showing up and cheering that the police were injured. I just dont get it...

The article claims this guy was mentally ill but nobody can take blows from batons like this suspect did... unless they were on drugs...

Plus the family called the police on him. Its not like they just decided to arrest him for no reason.

I don't get why people cheer when the police shoot an unarmed man either.

I can't even watch that video, it makes my blood boil. When people wonder why some people in this country are not respected, listen to the comments from the crowd. They think they are at a sporting event and are cheering for the bad guy.

If that happened in any normal neighborhood, the neighbors would be supporting the cops, but when you get a hood mentality, this is what you end up with. People like this crowd need to take a very close look at the way they look at life, and then they will earn the respect of others.

Do you mean when a crowd forms around the scene and cheers or just some person behind keyboard?

Same here. We are paying today for the 8 years of Obama's marxist agenda to divide this country and half. His goal was to have communities take animosity towards police and divide. A generation of single mom/family homes also contribute to this. I never remember it being this bad growing up. Police have a lot more on their plate now a days. People are more violent and have no respect for their parents, elders, or even the police.......

Kind of .. because people on a keyboard and people that are looking out their front window will have two complete understandings of the situation that occurred.

I don't blame former President Obama for this. This crap was going on all the way back to the 1990s and 1980s. I wouldn't say our society is more violent than ever. Murder rates back in the 1980s were very high.

I agree with you that a generation of single mother families is a contributor to such problems, this is not something with origins in the Obama administration. Go read the Moynihan Report. Issues with fatherless homes were frequent in the ghettos during the 50s and 60s. The violent criminals during the 1970s and 1980s were born in the 1950s and 1960s.

Something else. You might not remember it being this bad. However, my father remembers things being kind of rough where he grew up. There were plenty of drug dealers, criminals, winos, and nut cases growing up where he did. And this was in the 1960s. When he grew up riots were taking place in cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, etc. It could have been much worse where he grew up, but he certainly remembers things like tensions/lack of respect between the police and the people in the neighborhood. He lived around it. It was this bad. You just didn't live around it. Plenty of people, especially in the Black population, have seen things this bad long before the Obama administration.
