It appears you have been misinformed.

Where are you getting your numbers from?

Wisconsin:

"The state’s Comprehensive Annual Fiscal Report, released this week, shows state government ended its past fiscal year with a $1.6 billion deficit."

Editorial: $1.6B deficit is more reason for Wisconsin leaders to sock money away | Editorial | host.madison.com

Minnesota:

"Minnesota has had four years of budget surpluses."

"On Tuesday, the state’s Management and Budget office released its February forecast. Minnesota has a $1.6 billion budget surplus."

So Minnesota has has a number of years of budget surpluses and Wisconsin is still running in the red.

How can that be? Wisconsin is run by "fiscal conservatives."

Yo have been Grubbered!

"About EPI. The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank created in 1986 to include the needs of low- and middle-income workers in economic policy discussions. EPI believes every working person deserves a good job with fair pay, affordable health care, and retirement security. To achieve this goal, EPI conducts research and analysis on the economic status of working America. EPI proposes public policies that protect and improve the economic conditions of low- and middle-income workers and assesses policies with respect to how they affect those workers.

Gee, a VERY LIBERAL site does a study and lo and behold, they come to LIBERAL results.

Shocking, just SHOCKING, I tell ya'!

This lie has been debunked several times just in this thread!!!

Donald Trump and his fans are big believers in the EPI's findings and analysis. Trump had cited EPI studies many, many times in his speeches.

Unless, you are trying to argue that Trump is liberal, you have been doped.

Keep in mind that Minnesota came so close to being a red state this election. The closest since we went for Eisenhower in the 50’s. The drunken hag won by a couple thousand votes.

Minnesota already has a Republican legislature (hence the budget surplus) and they were within 1% of voting for Trump....if they vote with the majority next time for Trump, the liberals will jettison their mostly silly or exaggerated arguments about how great the state is and claim it's worse than Kansas

It doesn't matter who is in the legislature, MN's economic policy is progressive. It is very silly and misinformed to equate a Republican legislature with right-wing fiscal policy that smack of Kansas and Wisconsin.

Based on your previous post, you tend to think policy changes and economic turnaround happens over night, that if a party has been in power for one day when the tide turns then that party solely deserves credit. That's like giving the Win only to the relief pitcher who threw one inning and ignored the starting pitcher who lasted seven innings. That's a very infantile way of thinking. But I guess that's a trait of the right.

The last time Minnesota voted Republican was for Nixon in 1972.

Social safety net is strong enough to hold lots of people from other states.

Minnesota has had medical care for the less fortunate for years. Many people with disabilities move from Wisconsin, where this is not available, to Minnesota while they wait to get on Disability. They even have dental clinics for those on Medicaid. Once again, many low income people from Wisconsin (and other states as well) come for dental care that is not available to them in their home states.

The Duluth Model is a coordinated approach to dealing with domestic violence. Starts with the police arresting abusers, crisis shelters, transitional housing and support, ... It has spread around the country, but it started in Minnesota.

Speaking of Duluth, remember Gordon Ramsey, the Wichita Chief of Police with the viral video of him dancing at the BLM protest and barbecue? He was the Chief of Police in Duluth for years. My guess is he is the one who suggested the barbecue in Wichita.

In Duluth, he advocated for Housing First to get people off the street and into supported housing. He also advocated for Crisis Response Teams so that social workers and police officers could work together to handle mental health crisis situations. Terrific guy. If cloning ever gets underway, I say we should start with him.

Minnesota is full of people like this. Honest. Hard working. Smart.

Great place to live and work.
I feel like Minnesota is one of those places where if I'm willing to work hard, I'll have a great chance to make it there. I'm not going to go up there without a job lined up. However, I feel like there is alot of potential to do well in Minnesota. It is a state of hardworking people, and at the same time, a state where if you do fall on hard times, the safety net exists as a soft landing spot. It is meant to help one get back on their feet. As for the cold weather, well, I've always wanted to give cross country skiing a try.

Long story short, since 2010 MN adopted progressive economic policies while WI went the other direction with very conservative right-wing policies. Both states are very close to each other with similar climate and demographic; it couldn't be any better set for a showdown between liberals and conservatives' economic race. So who is better at job growth, employment, wage growth, and quality of life? If you've been paying attention, the answer will not surprise you - the liberals.

liberals and their policies are constantly bad for not only the economy, by for the people
